Here in the ARC, we are constantly finding new ways to make ourselves happier and healthier. Science shows us the way. In this video, we take spirituality out of the realm of woo-woo and put it firmly into the science space. A daily spiritual practice means that we are calmer which means we have favorable hormones in our body with fewer stress hormones such as cortisol. When at peace, our bodies are going about their normal business repairing cells and keep us humming along. Spirituality takes us there.

Chapter 4. The science of how positive thinking makes us healthy.
This video had me jumping for joy. The researchers have done a great job of showing us exactly what happens in our bodies when we are thinking negative thoughts. Being mad, sad, afraid, ashamed, guilty, lonely, resentful, or judgemental raises cortisol in our bodies. Having too much cortisol for too much of the time actually suppresses immune function! So positive thinking makes us physically stronger. The ARC teaches positive thinking in many many ways. Enjoy your healthier life!

Chapter 5. Radical hope. Using intuition.
On the pathway to vibrant health, we often have to make lots of decisions. There are many people out there who give us advice with a good heart, but the advice is not appropriate for us. Intuition is thought to emanate from the most powerful part of the brain, the survival brain. Intuition leads us to the best decisions for ourselves. Our bodies know what they need. Chapter 6. Radical hope. Releasing negative emotions.
This video shows the startling science about what happens in our bodies when we experience negative emotions. The body essentially goes into disease mode. Cortisol is released and blood flow is diverted to muscle. The rest of the body is deprived of nutrition and especially immune function. So infections and dysfunction get space in which to flourish. I must say that this video really changed my life. Socializing is not optional for humans. It is so essential for our well-being that without it, research shows that we increase the risk of dying. Fortunately, the Reset Community makes it easy to socialize. More importantly, The Reset Community makes it easy to control the pacing of socializing as well as the way in which you socialize.
